Easter Sunday 2008
|
This Easter was the second earliest date it could fall on (March 23), and combined with a long Winter, we were faced with a unique problem...SNOW. You 'dream' of a white Christmas, but who thinks of a white EASTER?! Therefore, plan "B" went into effect, and we had the Egg Hunt inside the Sanctuary. The kids went in in stages, so we wouldn't have a stampede! |

We started out the morning with a telling of the Easter story by Aimee. She gave each kid an egg with something inside that went along with the story. For example, there was an egg with spices in it symbolizing the burial spices bought by the women on their way to the tomb, another one with nails in it and one that was completely empty, symbolizing the empty tomb. After the story, it was off to hunt for eggs! Parents were happy that many of the eggs did NOT have candy in them, but rather had 'prize' slips inside! |

It's just not Easter without a shared meal, and some time to visit with friends and family! We never miss an opportunity for fellowship!! |
