Easter Egg Hunt

Each year at Easter we host a breakfast and egg hunt for the community.  With about 1000 eggs, the kids have plenty of chances to get candy and prizes as part of our celebration of Christ's Resurrection.

Fishing Derby

This is our first year doing a fishing derby.  Our motivation in doing this is to provide a venue where families can do something together, and because of the beautiful countryside around us, what better way to do that than a morning of fishing?  Various prizes will be given out for things like first fish caught, biggest fish, smallest fish, and last fish caught, but nobody will go home empty-handed.

Harvest Party

Each year we provide a Halloween alternative event.  In addition to the usual games and candy, Pastor Stan does a Gospel presentation as he carves up a pumpkin.  Also, a highlight of the evening is the chili cookoff where people bring in their favorite pots of chili to share.  This is always a ton of fun!

Free Face Painting at the County Fair

This is our longest-running event.  Since 2004 we have provided free face painting and temporary tattoos at the County Fair.  In fact, for many people, we are considered a staple part of the Fair's activities.  This is our best opportunity all year to connect with kids and families that we would otherwise not have any access to.  It is a true joy to see kids' faces light up when they see their face in the mirror.  We even have adults stop by to have their faces decorated.  What a simple, and yet real way to show the love of Christ, by providing something like this at no cost.  Like God's love, there are no strings attached; it is freely given.
