Mystery Dinner April 18, 2008.

This year's theme was "Creation: God created it all".  Unlike previous dinners, where you were served the various courses, this year it was a 'pick and choose' style.  Everyone was given a set of four tickets, with each one representing one of four basic 'elements' (Living Water, Geology, Nature and Galaxy).  Once you decide on the element, you go and pick up your course, which is concealed until you get back to your table.

Below:  Everyone was give one utensil to eat their meal with.  Kids were given a spoon, and adults got a knife.  If you found that eating with a knife just wasn't 'cutting' it, you could EARN a fork, by entertaining the crowd.  Aimee and Michelle sang "He's got the whole world in His hands" for their fork, while others chose to dance.  Nice job!

Chad, however, gets the Innovation Award.  He took the wooden skewers from the fruit kabobs (Nature course) and used them as chopsticks.  Very Clever!

Whether you used a knife, fork, spoon or chopsticks, NOBODY left hungry.  It was an AWESOME evening, and all the proceeds from the dinner go to help send kids to Camp this summer.  THANK YOU to everyone involved in preparing the dinner, and to everyone who came out to support our kids!  However, we do apologize for any weight gained as a result of this dinner.
